Proust and the Squid

I don't remember where she gets the title, but if you teach reading in any capacity at all you will find much in this book. Maryanne Wolf discusses history, neuroscience, dyslexia, and her perception that the new digital age is a bad thing for the future of reading. The brain science/reading parts are the most interesting. I sat down with it on a Sunday afternoon in a bookstore and read most of it in one sitting. Worth a look.
