Friday Quote

"To me, nothing can be more important than giving children books. It's better to be giving books to children than drug treatment to them when they're 15. Did it ever occur to anyone that if you put nice libraries in schools you wouldn't have to put them in prisons?" --Fran Lebowitz

This quote is in honor to John Green and all those helping to fight any kind of censorship or book banning. It's also because I have decided to begin the long process of becoming a school librarian. I know, I know, they're called "media specialists" now. In a couple of years I'm hoping to have finished the necessary classes. I doubt I'll change the name of the blog, though. Have a great weekend.

Thanks, guys. I am excited. It'll be a couple of years since I'm working and can only chip away at the classes one or two at a time, but I think it'll be awesome.

And I like "librarian" much better than "media specialist."
