BTT asks, "What's the best book you've read recently?"This one, by far. I mentioned it earlier, but couldn't go into it too deeply since I was taking three graduate courses at the time. I can't really get into it too deeply now because I have teaching, classes, and more to do. So I'll be brief.
This is hilarious, interesting and fun. A historical novel about the 1300s? No thanks, I thought. Who knew the main character would be one of the spunkies characters in fiction? I doubt she's all that realistic, but who cares? It's great and yes, you'll learn more than you wanted to know about the habits of people of the time. Yuck.
It's a hoot and I can't recommend it enough.
