First Six Weeks of School

This is the book to get to help you have a great new year whether you are new to teaching or not. It tells a lot more than just seating and greeting. It has great ideas for getting into the curriculum, for student interaction, even for handling the lunch room and recess. This will make you a teacher ninja. Not this drivel. You know which other book I mean. Don't get the wong book.

Excellent suggestion! The amazon reviews for that other book are great. Are there other books of this caliber for secondary education?

Speaking as a fellow opinionated person, I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoy reading your strong opinions!

I'm glad to know that OTHER book stinks. I have picked it up a few times but always put it back down because it was so cluttered and user-unfriendly.

I'm going to look for that one. Nice to see a wing to the wong.

Thanks, guys. Josh, I don't know of a secondary level book. I'll have to look into that. Kiri8, you're not missing a thing. It's only popular because first year teachers like the title and will buy anything in their panic. Tracy, you have a lovely website! Can't wait to dig into it further...
