First you guys are still having trouble with evolution. Or at least some dips in the government are.

Now I hear the anti-immigration hysteria has them cutting back on English language learning teachers. Duh. If you want people to speak English then you need to provide the services they need to become productive citizens.

Great thoughts on the use of the word and an attempt to get folks to stop and think about the context.

I Hate To Say I Told Them So...

...but I tried to tell them so. There's an article in the NY Times this morning about towns that have enacted strict anti-illigal immigration laws that are haveing second thoughts because their economies are suffering. The initial thought is: it's illegal and they're using up our services! But it's obviously much more complex than that, as these folks are finding out.
